In France, the cosmetics industry is under an obligation of transparency initiated by the Bertrand Law of December 29, 2013 and its implementing decree published on May 21, 2013.

Transparency has been codified in the article L1453-1 of the French Public Healthcare Code.

Publication

  • Four criteria for public disclosure have been defined:
  • Produce, market or provide benefits related to healthcare products
  • Own one or several healthcare products listed in the article L1453-1 of the French Public Healthcare Code
  • Conclude a convention with one or several natural or legal person(s) listed in the article L1453-1 of the French Public Healthcare Code and/or provide benefits, in cash or in kind.
  • Payments over 10€
